The Mini Beasts react to movement with light, sound and bright and colour.
The include a humming Neon Cuckoo Bee, the touch-sensor Singing Cicada, a proximity-activated Swallowtail Butterfly and a new Jumping Spider.
Despite their name, there is nothing small about the sculptures, with each one standing up to four metres high.
The Mini Beasts installations located throughout the centre until March 28.
A map is available for visitors to follow the Mini Beast Trail and collect a stamp at each station.
The Canberra Centre has also teamed up with the ACT government and the City Renewal Authority to provide a shuttle bus service during Enlighten.
The City to Enlighten Festival Shuttle is a complimentary loop service to the front gates of Enlighten departing from Petrie Street from 6pm each evening.
