He didn't need to name them. They knew who they were. The people who stood by Curtis Scott during the dark times of 2020.

Family. Friends. Teammates. Coaches.
They were all there for Scott after NSW Police put him through a horrific ordeal after Australia Day celebrations last year.
They're the people Scott's playing for. Looking to repay their faith in him every day.
"Obviously family and friends, the coaching staff here at the Raiders, the club in general, certain players in the squad as well," he said.
"They all had my back and they all - they didn't really have to wrap their arm around me or anything - but just knowing they had an idea of what went on and didn't really believe all the stuff that was written in the papers, which was pretty easy to believe.
"Just all those people, I don't really need to mention all their names.
"They know who they are, but I'm really grateful and I try and repay them every day knowing they had my back throughout it all."
The 23-year-old's close to his family, who were some of the most supportive throughout the ordeal - where he was unlawfully arrested, tasered, capsicum sprayed and locked up by NSW Police.
He's currently seeking damages from the police for his treatment.
There was also the Raiders coaches and staff, past and present Raiders players like Jack Wighton, Elliott Whitehead and Nick Cotric.
Scott revealed there were dark times as proceedings dragged through the court.
Making matters worse? The coronavirus pandemic meant he couldn't visit his family in Sydney. And they couldn't visit him. Stuck in the NRL's bubble under strict "Apollo protocols".
Thankfully, there was always the phone.
"It's pretty tight knit [my family]. They had my back from the get go - I wouldn't expect anything less," Scott said.
"They were really helpful. It was tough with the COVID and that, I couldn't really see anyone or do anything so there were a lot of long nights there.
"It is what it is. It's all done now and I'm just excited to play footy."
