The new financial year sees everything from the cost of renewing a driver's licence to registering a brothel go up from Thursday.
It comes after the government froze fee increases last financial year to ease the financial impact of COVID-19 restrictions, giving Canberrans' a 12-month holiday from hikes in charges.
This financial year will see fees and charges increase by up to 1.75 per cent.
That means the cost of renewing a driver's licence for five years increases by $3.50 from $201.40 to $204.90.
Vehicle registration costs increase across the board.
The government charges related to renewing rego for a standard car such as a Toyota Rav4 for 12 months increases by more than $10, from $584.60 to $594.80. Other charges apply based on the vehicle weight and use.
Parking and traffic fines also increase.
Parking illegally in a disabled spot will now cop a fine of $625, up $10.
If you go overtime in a parking spot, the fine is now $125, up from $123.
Notification of a brothel increases $6, from $357 to $363.
Various licensing fees also increase.

The cost of registering a birth, death or marriage also increases. The cost of a standard certificate increases $1 to $66
A spokesperson for the government said government fees and charges generally increased annually in line with changes to the Wage Price Index.
This financial year will see fees and charges increase by up to 1.75 per cent from July 1, for the first time since 2019-20.
"In 2020-21, a range of ACT government fees and charges were frozen at 2019-20 levels in an effort to ease the pressure facing Canberrans due to the impacts of COVID-19. This was done in addition to a number of other financial support measures provided by the ACT government," the spokesperson said.
