This week was the end of an era for Manuka's Cafe Patissez with the Petridis family saying goodbye after six years.
Anna Petridis and her parents Gina and Phil were the heart and soul of the cafe, taking social media by storm in 2016 when they created the ultimate milkshake, the FreakShake.
Anna and Gina also appeared in the 2015 season of My Kitchen Rules.
But as much as they enjoyed the sensation of the FreakShake and TV fame, they were always about more than that - "obsessed with amazing fresh food, done right and brought to you with out any of the modern day fancy nonsense".
The family has sold the cafe, with Anna marking her last day on Wednesday.
The new owners of the cafe are young couple Jake and Lucy Yu, who also own Wok it Up! in Amaroo. And you can still order a FreakShake.
Anna is enjoying the rare luxury of not having anything to organise or be responsible for, but won't be sitting still for long.
She and her family are about to launch a bakery delivery service, starting with Gina's "epic" signature apple pies.
They also have plans to launch a new taco joint in Canberra; location TBA. It is slated to open in January.
And of top of all that, Anna will be marrying her Brazilian love Tassio at Jervis Bay in November.
She says her parents have always supported her ventures but she wanted them to slow down and stop working so hard.
The last year or so has not been kind to hospitality, with COVID-19 restrictions making such an impact.
But Anna said it would be one of the most memorable times running the cafe.
"It's been a really wonderful journey and the community really rallied behind us during Covid and we came out on top of it all and for that I'm really grateful," she said.
The bakery delivery service is expected to start up soon and will be called Crack Bakery. It will be on Instagram at @crack.bakery.
