ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a man threatened people with a tomahawk at Hawker shops.
The incident happened about 3.40pm on Thursday afternoon.
Police arrived on the scene after receiving multiple reports of the man brandishing a tomahawk and threatening members of the public.
By the time police arrived the man had left the scene in a silver Toyota Camry.
The man returned to the scene shortly after and was taken into custody.
The 22-year-old man was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and breach of parole.
ACT Policing is calling for any further witnesses who have not already spoken to police to come forward.
Police would also like to speak to people who have information about any other threats the man made on Friday afternoon at the Hawker shops or while driving in the silver Toyota Camry.
