The Garran site will be open from 7.30am to 9pm for any close or casual contacts, people who have symptoms of COVID-19, anyone who has returned a positive rapid antigen test result and returned international travellers.
High-priority testers were only allowed at Garran on Wednesday, and test wait times appeared to be shorter than usual.
At 12pm on Wednesday, ACT Health said the Nicholls site had a waiting time of about half an hour and the Garran site had a wait of over an hour.
MORE COVID-19 NEWS:
Children under five and their families can also get tested at Garran for any approved reason, including for pre-travel tests.
Testing sites across the ACT have been at capacity at various times in the last few weeks. ACT Minister for Health Rachel Stephen-Smith has said about 50 per cent of people getting tested are wanting to travel interstate.
Kambah drive-through clinic (8am to 4pm) and Mitchell drive through clinic (8am to 10pm) will both be open tomorrow for anyone wanting to get a PCR test.
Nicholls testing clinic will also be open from 8am to 4pm for anyone. The clinic remains located across the oval to the adjacent Gold Creek School Senior Site. The entry is via Clarrie Hermes Drive.
Wondering what's open in Canberra this Christmas/new year period?
