The pair are back in Baltimore for a new HBO limited series once again focussed on cops - but this time, it's a true story.
We Own This City chronicles the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force and the corruption that brought it down.
The show looks at the police on the force, detectives circling drug distribution, local politics and the civil rights movement.
Jon Bernthal, who's always exceptional, has taken things to another level in his role as cop Wayne Jenkins. He's impossible to turn away from.
The stacked cast includes several The Wire alumni, as well as Josh Charles (The Good Wife), Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country), Dagmara Dominczyk (Inventing Anna), Gabrielle Carteris (Beverly Hills 90210) and more.
Crush
Disney+
It's appeared without much fanfare, but the new coming of age comedy on Disney+ is well worth the watch.
Crush is your typical high school comedy in story, but it just so happens that most of the characters are LGBTQIA+.
Their sexuality journey is not really part of the story - all these folks have already come out and the story is solely concerned with their romantic entanglements.
So while movies like Love, Simon were groundbreaking in making a queer character the centrepiece of a high school rom-com, their sexuality was a massive part of the plot.
In Crush, it's just a given and that is another great step forward.
The funny and bodacious film follows awkward artist type Paige (Rowan Blanchard) who will be suspended unless she can uncover the identity of mystery artist KingPun who creates new artwork on school property every day.
Somehow this hullabaloo involves her joining the school's track team with Paige's longtime crush Gabriela (Isabella Ferreira), her sister AJ (Auli'i Cravalho) and her boo'd up best buds Dillon and Stacey.
Also stars Megan Mullally, Michelle Buteau and Aasif Mandvi.
Billy the Kid
Stan
If you're looking for an easy Western show to pass then time, Billy the Kid has got you covered.
The first episode tracks Billy's childhood, moving out of New York with his Irish immigrant parents for greater opportunity in the Old West, picking up life lessons along the way.
Aussie actor Daniel Webber (11.22.63) stars as a member of Billy's posse. Tom Blyth plays the grown up Billy.
Ozark
Netflix
The final ever instalment of Ozark is now out, with everyone back to doing awful things.
Laura Linney continues to be exceptional in this dark drama.
You'll fly through the final seven episodes without trouble.
Linney and Jason Bateman both direct episodes in this final piece of the puzzle.
