A woman has been taken to hospital after being trapped in her car after a crash at a notorious north Canberra intersection.

An Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said firefighters freed the woman from her car after the single-car crash, which happened at the intersection of Tillyard Drive and Ginninderra Drive just after 7pm on Thursday.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The agency spokeswoman was unable to comment on the circumstances around the crash.
The crash caused delays for drivers in the area, with city-bound lanes affected and an exit at Tillyard Drive closed for some time.
The intersection is a notorious blackspot, with 110 crashes between 2003 and 2016.
As part of $4 million in funding for Tillyard Drive in its recent budget, the ACT government announced it would install traffic lights at the intersection.
A 2016 study of traffic conditions on Tillyard Drive showed it had more than 9000 vehicle movements a day.
