Now, it's best to employ a little Hyacinth Bucket when pronouncing the name of the tea - Boutea - which is meant to reference "boutique" not "bootie".

It was while he was living in Canberra and playing with the Brumbies that Ashley-Cooper discovered his love of tea.

"Outside of playing, training and sleeping, Adam and his team mates created a ritual of going to cafes together to socialise off the field," the press release for the tea said.

"Adam lived next door to tea connoisseur Jody Hillier who introduced him to the many intricacies of the world of tea.

"Their shared passion for a remarkable brew resulted in a partnership where five years later, Boutea was born."

Now playing for the Bordeaux Begles in France, Ashley-Cooper said the tea line had brought some balance to his life.

"The off-field journey of entering the world of tea has helped balance my obsession with my career and the game's mental demand," he said.

"I'm a driven individual. I know what works for me in rugby - it's about doing all the little things to be the best I can on the field and that's the attitude I'm taking with Boutea."

The tea, grown in Sri Lanka, is sold in four varieties: Early Grey, English Breakfast, Green Citrus and Peppermint.
