Advertising executive Dee Madigan has been referred to the powerful Queensland parliamentary ethics committee after refusing to delete a tweet about an LNP MP.

Last month, Ms Madigan quote tweeted a GIF of manager of opposition business Jarrod Bleijie ripping up a piece of paper in the chamber, adding the comment "Your taxes at work. A toddler tantrum for @JarrodBleijieMP".
Mr Bleijie had ripped up the paper while complaining about a government motion to speed up debate on the vegetation management bill so it could be passed that night, while temporarily scrapping family-friendly hours.
"It is the right of every member of this house to speak on these bills," he said.
"They do not have to suspend the sessional orders to sit later tonight.
"They can finish at 6 o'clock with the automatic adjournment and we will come back when Parliament sits next time and complete the debate on vegetation management."
Speaker Curtis Pitt said Mr Bleijie wrote to him on May 14 alleging contempt of Parliament over the tweet.
"The photograph is of the member for Kawana on his feet in the house, it was included in a tweet from a Twitter account belonging to Ms Dee Madigan," he said.
Mr Pitt said the LNP had previously raised the issue with Clerk Neil Laurie, who had written to Ms Madigan advising her of the terms and conditions of the use of video from Parliament, and urging her to delete the tweet.
"My office has also made attempts to have the material removed," he said.
"To date Ms Madigan has refused to remove the material."
Parliamentary rules prevent people from publishing footage from the chamber which is used for satire or ridicule.
Mr Pitt referred the issue to the ethics committee.
However, Ms Madigan told Fairfax Media Mr Bleijie had in the past retweeted footage from Parliament with commentary.
"Mine was a retweet that had footage that had been on the ABC news," she said.
"In fact, this week politicians from both sides streamed live parliamentary footage on Facebook which was then shared and commented on. This is normal practice."
Ms Madigan argued it was a "politically motivated complaint".
Ms Madigan has worked on state and federal election campaigns for the Labor party, and is a regular panellist on the ABC's Gruen.
Mr Bleijie declined to comment as the matter was before the ethics committee.
