A Queensland man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was fatally shot in the head at her partner's home south of Brisbane.

Investigations continued for a month, with State Emergency Service crews searching bushland on the semi-rural property for evidence and multiple public appeals to track down who was in the area.
A day after releasing a photo of the 40-year-old Acacia Ridge man, who was wanted for questioning, police found Stafford Emmerson at Regents Park on Saturday and he was charged.
He will appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
