Firefighters responded to house fires in Higgins and McKellar about 5.15pm.
Both blazes started in ovens, with firefighters unable to contain the fires to the rooms they started in.
Two pumpers, a breathing apparatus vehicle and a commander were sent to one of the blazes, with two pumpers, HAZMAT and a commander dispatched to the other.
The Thursday evening house fires follow a Wednesday afternoon blaze in Isabella Plains, which was also caused by cooking left unattended.
