The case – over the worksite death of Herman Holtz – was briefly mentioned in the ACT Industrial Court on Thursday morning.
Mr Holtz, 62, died when he was struck by a crane on the University of Canberra Hospital construction site in Bruce on August 4, 2016. The mobile crane rolled while moving an 11-tonne generator.
The ACT's work safety watchdog announced last month it would charge two companies and seven individuals – including company executives – over the death.
In announcing the prosecution, WorkSafe ACT commissioner Greg Jones said it would be alleged that there had been significant and systemic failures on the site, with workers' safety not taken into account.
The men and the companies are yet to be formally charged in court.
However, court papers from Thursday lists their names and the charges they are expected to face.
The crane driver, Michael Watts, is facing a charge of manslaughter.
While RAR Cranes, Multiplex Constructions, and company employees Benjamin De Bono, Andrew Drummond, John Flecker, Munro Jones, Paul Kelly, Jeffrey Rumble all face charges for alleged breaches workplace safety.
The matter was adjourned to reappear before Magistrate Glenn Theakston in July.
