A Canberra cafe owner accused of trafficking designer drugs told a court on Friday he would fight the charges.

Peter Edward Poulakis, 28, was arrested late last year after police raided his Wright house.
In the garage, they had allegedly found three clipseal bags containing a light brown rocky substance weighing a total of 1.31 kilograms.
Presumptive testing suggested the substance was Dibutylone, a "designer drug" that causes psychedelic effects simliar to MDMA, court documents say.
The 1.31 kilograms amounts to about 130 times the trafficable amount of 10 grams, police suggest.
Police had been intercepting the cafe owner's phone calls for more than a month.
In one phone call, he allegedly said he said he wanted to buy a slug gun to shoot birds.
He allegedly ordered the gun and had someone else, who was a registered firearms holder in NSW, pick the firearm up from the store for him.
When they searched his home on December 4, police allegedly found a black Crosman brand CO2 powered airgun on a bench in the garage.
It was during this same search they allegedly found the drugs.
The day before, police had heard a phone conversation in which Mr Poulakis allegedly said he was trying to figure out "the scope of this thing."
He then says: "Do you want to hear it? It's pretty nuts."
Nine loud bangs can be heard.
The person on the other end of the phone calls Mr Poulakis "very stupid".
In another phone call after the raids, he denies having anything to do with drugs.
He says: "I've got nothing to hide. Like, I mean that's stupid that that's there, but ..."
In an intercepted text message on December 6, Mr Poulakis told a staff member that if police came to the business to say that they were not comfortable answering questions.
"If they ask you what colour the peppermint slice is say 'I dont feel comfortable answering that'," he said.
On Friday, Mr Poulakis appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court where he made a second attempt at bail.
His lawyer, Michael Kukulies-Smith, also told the court Mr Poulakis would enter pleas of not guilty to the two charges, of trafficking and the unauthorised possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors opposed his release, saying they held fears he would interfere with witnesses and evidence.
The prosecutor said Mr Poulakis did not appear to take the charges seriously and that it was a "bit of a game" for him.
Magistrate Beth Campbell said she too had observed that Mr Poulakis appeared to have a "cavalier" attitude, but that was not a ground on which she could refuse bail.
In response, the prosecutor said that what the man's attitude suggested was that he would not take seriously his bail conditions.
Defence solicitor Mr Kukulies-Smith said police had changed their position since the man was arrested and no longer opposed his release on bail.
He said presumably they had "locked away what they needed to lock away" in their case against Mr Poulakis.
He said, of suggestions Mr Poulakis told a staff member not to talk to police, that if that was interfering with witnesses, defence lawyers would be interfering with witnesses every day.
He said Mr Poulakis was not charged with perverting the course of justice or any other offences like that.
The magistrate granted Mr Poulakis bail on Friday on condition he report three times a week to police.
She also ordered him not to contact several people, including Bilal Badr-Eddeen Omari, and Youssef Jabal, 32.
The case returns to court on March 23.
