Some of the best in Canberra's hospitality industry have been recognised at the ACT Australian Hotels Association's (AHA) 2017 awards night.

Thirty-six awards were presented for the top hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and industry workers from across Canberra.
Pomegranate in Kingston was awarded best restaurant, with Casey Jones named as best pub bistro, and the recently refurbished The Duxton awarded best local.
Capitol Bar and Grill was named as best hotel restaurant, Bar Rochford took out the best cocktail bar category, and The District in Crace won best cafe restaurant.
Ryan Sabet from Academy and Mr Wolf won the John Press Award, and Patina Farnham from Mercure Canberra was named the 2017 Member of the Year.
Damian Barbender (OTIS Dining Hall), Paola Passone Vasconcelos (Premier Hotel & Apartments), Jasmine Sawa (Hotel-Hotel), Sharni Watson (The Dock), and Hannah Krippner (Hotel-Hotel) were also individually recognised.
For food, Capitol Bar and Grill was awarded best steak, and Ducks Nuts Bar and Grill was awarded best burger.
East Hotel, Brassey Hotel, Little National Hotel, Burbury Hotel and Apartments, QT Canberra, Jamala Wildlife Lodge and Hotel Realm were all announced as winners across the hotel categories.
The winners were announced at a ceremony at QT Canberra on Monday night.
The AHA is a member organisation representing hospitality businesses across the country.
