Burlesque performers from far and wide are heading to Canberra for the show, including Miss Maple Rose from Melbourne and Lilith Von Dahlia from Newcastle. They'll be joined on stage by local dancers Rainbow, Chocolate E Claire and boylesque performer Robbie.
Miss Burlesque ACT 2016 Jazida (aka Rachel Reid) will MC the event and said Canberrans can expect "quintessential burlesque", including glove peels, fan dancing, strip tease, glitter, absurdity and parody.
"And we're celebrating bodies of all shapes and sizes," Ms Reid said.
LoBrow Gallery & Bar owner Sancho Murphy said the event was the perfect way to connect with interstate talent.
"It's a celebration of the underground, the things that give our city character," she said.
And if you love High Brow and want to try your hand at burlesque, Jazida and Miss Maple Rose are partnering on a fan-dancing workshop - titled Taking Flight with Feather Fans - the following day.
High Brow at the LoBrow, Saturday July 22, 8pm-10pm, LoBrow Gallery & Bar, 181 City Walk, Civic. Tickets start at $18, bookings essential. To book, visit eventbrite.com.au
