Kitchen garden: Trisha Dixon's home fires

Trisha Dixon lives at Bobundara on the Monaro but she gained her pilot's licence in Canberra studied meteorology and presented ABC TV. As a writer-photographer, Trisha photographed the high country and documenting the gardens of Edna Walling. She was born in the folds of the Shoalhaven at Bungonia where her childhood was spent clambering up and down the Gorge, riding her horse, enjoying the garden paradise created by her mother, Margaret Burkitt, and attending a school where natural flora and gardens were part of the ethos. Trisha is an active member of the Australian Garden History Society and was President of the Canberra, Riverina and Monaro branch.
