The Queanbeyan SES, NSW Ambulance and rescue helicopter crews worked to remove the man from the well about 4pm on Friday.
Rescue mission: Snowy Hydro Southcare was called to help a man who fell down a well.
A SouthCare spokeswoman said the man was believed to have fallen six metres.
The man was in a stable condition in Canberra Hospital as of 7.45pm, an ACT Health spokesman said.
The helicopter was deployed about 3pm on Friday.
