Police reported that 27 drug-affected drivers were caught over the four-day long weekend, compared with 21 who exceeded the 0.05 legal blood alcohol limit. Five drivers had readings more than twice the limit.

The highest reading was that of a Monash man who recorded 0.191.
Police also issued 60 infringement notices and 20 cautions for a range of traffic offences on the weekend.
In NSW, a woman driver lost 28 points and was fined $1348 for using her phone while driving and having three unrestrained children in the back seat of her Holden Captiva when stopped by police near Ourimbah, on the M1 motorway.
