Kandilas joined the Cavalry three years ago and he has been one of the most consistent hitters in ABL history, with a batting average of .284 and smashing 18 of his 25 career homeruns while playing for Canberra.
The 'Kandiman' becomes the fourth Australian representative to recommit to the Cavalry and Canberra boss Donn McMichael said it was a massive boost for the club before the Tokyo Olympic Games.
"David Kandilas' re-signing is a show of faith in the direction that the management of the Canberra Cavalry is taking the organisation after its first year of private ownership," McMichael said.
"Kandi is the fourth and final signing of our Australian players, all on multi-year agreements, which is very unusual in the ABL. This is very important for the club and the players in this year of the Premium 12 and the lead up to the 2020 Olympics in Japan."
Kandilas previously played Minor League Baseball in the United States, most recently with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 2014. Kandilas also played professional baseball with Japan's Ehime Mandarin Pirates last year.
