Four people were taken to hospital, one in a serious condition, after emergency crews had to cut off the roof of the car to free the occupants.
Parts of Bowen Place are still damaged almost two weeks after the incident.
A spokeswoman for the National Capital Authority, which is responsible for Bowen Place, said many parts of the park were damaged due to the crash.
"Bowen Place sustained damage to the gutter, railing, balustrades, concrete retaining panels and the median and roadside garden beds," the spokeswoman said.

Despite the damage to the area, the spokeswoman said Bowen Place was still able to be accessed.
"Engineers have confirmed that the structural integrity of Bowen Place was not compromised, it remains safe and open to the public," the spokeswoman said.

"The NCA is currently working to determine the extent of the repairs required."
The Bowen Place site was built for $10 million in 2015, allowing for walkers and cyclists to do a bridge to bridge lap of Lake Burley Griffin without having to cross major roads.
Construction on the project began in 2013 and was built to improve pedestrian safety.
