A 32-year-old who hid from police in a wardrobe has been arrested after an aggravated robbery at the Coles Express service station in Charnwood on Saturday morning.

Around 6am, a man entered the service station in a red Mitsubishi Lancer and filled up the car with petrol before entering the store and taking two drinks from the fridge.
He then approached the counter, produced a knife and demanded money.Without obtaining any cash, the man turned around and walked out of the store, driving off in the car.
About 10.30pm, acting on information received, police attended a residence in Chisholm and searched the place.
The alleged offender was found hiding in a wardrobe and was taken into custody.The man was taken to the ACT Watch House and is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery.
