Ms Gallagher, who regularly walks past the merry-go-round, said she was disappointed it was not getting more use. In response to a text message during her regular ''Chief Minister Talkback'' segment on ABC radio, Ms Gallagher said there may come a time when the merry-go-round would be moved to another part of Civic.
''It gets a bit of an uptake of passengers on the weekends, but I walked past it the other day during the week and there was no one on it,'' she said. ''I thought, 'gee I wonder if there's a better place for this merry-go-round?' So perhaps we could look at something for its 100th birthday.''
