Khaled Khoder, 27, was arrested at his work on Wednesday after a tip off from the public and a four-month investigation within ACT, NSW and federal police resulted in raids on three homes including his own home in Coombs.
Investigators from ACT Policing, NSW Police and the National Anti-Gangs Squad seized an alleged 30 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of MDMA and 300 grams of methylamphetamine.
Police said the drugs are worth some $154,000 on the street.
Our key strategy is to target the distributors in the ACT
- Detective Superintendent Scott Moller
Addressing the media on Thursday, Detective Superintendent Scott Moller said police intelligence revealed that the drug distribution network was based in Canberra but also stretched into NSW.
He said the arrest and drug seizure represented a significant blow to the distributors.
"Our key strategy is to target the distributors in the ACT," he said.
"This is our commitment and we will continue to pursue them."
Superintendent Moller said the investigation was active and ongoing and he expected further arrests.
Mr Khoder has been charged with eight counts of trafficking a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug other than cannabis.
He faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday where his lawyer Bowan Shelton said his client would not enter pleas and not apply for bail.
Mr Khoder is due back in court on June 20.
