ACT Fire and Rescue were on scene this morning investigating smoke logging at a pizza restaurant at Ratcliffe Crescent and Connah Street.
They were responding to a 10.24am emergency call from a quick-thinking fire warden, who noticed smoke coming from the unoccupied shop.
Firefighters had to force entry into the empty restaurant, were they found smoke coming from a pizza oven.
Six businesses in the area were evacuated as a precaution. ACT Ambulance Service were also on scene to support operations, however no injuries were reported.
Fire crews conducted ventilation operations before departing the scene.
