It's one of the star works (eerily, the face follows you around the gallery while you're trying to concentrate on other things) of the current SNAP exhibition at Manuka Arts Centre of photographs by students of 13 ACT senior secondary schools and colleges.
Bennett said Realistic Barbie is her self-portrait and the college project called for something ''surreal'' and for ''a portrait with a twist''. So she Barbiefied her likeness with Photoshop, using ''several layers to smooth out the skin'' and enlarging the lips and the eyes (and making them surreally blue) all in order ''to make myself look like a doll''.
