Robert Samuel Dau, on trial in the ACT Supreme Court, has pleaded not guilty to charges of committing acts of indecency and sexual intercourse without consent.
The Crown alleges that Dau, 24, committed the offences after meeting the woman for the first time on November 11, 2009, at a sports event organised by the Police Community and Youth Clubs program. Later that night Dau and his friends went to the woman's house in south Canberra. He allegedly cornered her behind the family home and committed the offences.
Yesterday the jury heard that police forensics linked Dau to DNA retrieved from the woman's clothing and from a swab of her breast. Dau told police the woman put her hand into his jeans and allowed him to touch her breasts, but nothing else happened.
Dau denied exposing himself to the woman or trying to force her into a sex act.
