A man brandishing a syringe threatened the staff of a northside Pizza Hut store and demanded cash during a failed aggravated robbery on Friday, according to police.

The man entered the store on Hardwick Crescent in Holt about 10pm, walking to the front counter and allegedly telling an employee to hand over cash.
The employee refused and the man was forced to flee from the store.
Police say he was last seen driving away from the store in a dark coloured Mitsubishi Magna towards Southern Cross Drive.
The alleged offender is described as Caucasian, 175cm tall with a solid build, wearing a black balaclava, a blue hooded top and tracksuit pants.
