Nicholls man Rob Ginnivan will on Tuesday attempt to become the first person in the world to run a half-marathon in the air - on a treadmill in a hot air balloon over Canberra.
He wants to run a marathon or half-marathon on land, sea and air.
Last month he completed the 42km Casablanca marathon in Morocco in 3hr 24min.
The sea marathon will take place on a cruise ship in the Pacific Ocean on December 22.
Mr Ginnivan is raising money for the Heart Foundation and cementing a personal metamorphosis from being overweight and stressed to fit and motivated.
Of his Moroccan adventure, Mr Ginnivan said: ''As I crossed the start line to begin the 42km journey, I reminded myself what I used to look like 12 years ago and this race was to continue to fly the flag for a healthier lifestyle''.
