Police nabbed 66 drink-drivers over the past two weeks, as they conducted a targeted crackdown on impaired drivers that included a complete lockdown of the ACT-NSW border.

About 1800 drivers were tested during the four-hour lockdown of the Barton Highway near Hall on December 1, but only one driver was found over the limit.
That lockdown also saw police issue 19 traffic-infringement notices and 13 defect notices.
A 25-year-old Dunlop man was the worst drink-driving offender caught over the two-week blitz, which was codenamed Operation RAID. He was recorded with a reading of 0.272 on Sunday.
The day before, a 37-year-old driver from Theodore crashed at the intersection of Tharwa Drive and Norman Lindsay Street. Police conducted a breath test which found the driver had a blood-alcohol level of 0.211.
A 41-year-old recidivist drink driver was also caught on December 3, after police saw him speeding along Ginninderra Drive in Lyneham. He was pulled over and subsequently recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.203 at City Police Station. He already has five previous drink driving convictions, according to police.
