It is not known when the series will air or how many home-grown celebrities will star in the show, made famous by Donald Trump.
It will be the second Australian instalment of The Apprentice series franchise.
Originally airing on Channel Nine in 2009, The Apprentice Australia was well received by critics yet rated only moderately in its 9.30pm timeslot.
Businessman and host of the first season Mark Bouris looks set to return to hire and fire contestants from the star-studded cast.
"Just which celeb do you want to see with Mr Bouris in the boardroom?" was posted on the official Twitter account earlier this afternoon.
According to Channel Nine some of Australia's most well known and controversial celebrities will work towards winning $100,000 for a charity of their choice.
The yet-to-be cast contestants will compete in challenges that rely on their fame and contacts, while enduring long hours and intense scrutiny - without the usual safety net and support team of agents, managers and assistants.
Perth personalities Eileen Bond and Aurelio Costarella have been suggested by the team at Channel Nine Perth.
