An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said 33 workers had been evacuated from the site on Nyrang Street just after midday on Monday.
Emergency crews were on the scene investigating the cause of the incident, before the leak was isolated at 1pm, with workers able to re-enter the building.
Neighbouring buildings and businesses were not evacuated.
The spokeswoman said two pumpers and hazmat crews responded to the suspected gas leak.
The suspected leak happened just after midday.
