The legendary music festival at the University of Canberra has seen the likes of Groove Armada, Paul Kelly, Frenzal Rhomb, The Cruel Sea, Magic Dirt, The Dandy Warhols, Grinspoon, and The Living End take to the stage.
All will be revealed on Tuesday, including the line-up, but teasers have been appearing on social media promising a Stonefest resurrection, which we hear will be taking place in October.
And if you're a UC student or alumnus, you're in luck, with a special ticket pre-sale just for you opening at 9am on Tuesday. Go to stonefest.com.au.
The festival was a free-wheeling celebration, ostensibly to mark the laying of the foundation of the then Canberra College of Advanced Education, way back on October 28, 1968.
The sombre suits of that day were a long way from the craziness that Stonefest became, a highlight of the student calendar.
It was reduced to Stone Day in 2011 and has not been held since.
Until now.
