Court documents say three men went to the Goodenia Street house on December 17, 2017, where Mr Allan was sprayed in the face with degreaser before a bloody assault.
He fled the home to seek help, leaving a trail of blood for more than 100 metres down the street, before he died on a neighbour's porch.
An autopsy report said Mr Allan died of cardiac arrest, "which in turn is a consequence of the combined effects of blunt force head trauma, exertion, cardiovascular disease, and methamphetamine toxicity", according to an agreed statement of facts tendered to court.
Dean Phillip Welsh, 50, pleaded guilty and was convicted in the ACT Supreme Court on Thursday of a charge of manslaughter.
His co-accused, Colin Maxwell Booth, 35, pleaded guilty to manslaughter last week.
A third man, who cannot be identified, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Allan and is listed to face trial later this month.
Welsh says he went to the Goodenia Street home early that morning to get drugs from Mr Allan, who was a drug dealer.
Welsh either opened the door or held it open while his co-accused allegedly went inside and beat Mr Allan with a baseball bat.
Booth stayed outside.
While Mr Allan fled for help, Booth stole drugs, a credit card and a phone from his home.
Welsh left a number of items belonging to Mr Allan, bloodied clothing and a baseball bat, in the car they had arrived in and a nearby dumpster, the document says.
Welsh and Booth then called a taxi and stopped in at McDonald's in Manuka.
They later injected the drug ice and then used Mr Allan's key cards to buy alcohol.
Both will return to court at a later date for sentence.
