From 10am to 2pm, the gates will be open and visitors will be able to explore the gardens, tour the house and meet their excellencies.
It will be the first open day for General Hurley after he was sworn in on July 1 this year.
More than 30 charities and community groups that the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley are patrons of will have displays to showcase their work.
Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and a range of local providers will have food for sale.
"Since being appointed Governor-General, one of the things that Linda and I have enjoyed the most is welcoming visitors to Government House. It is part of our national and the regional history and it is important to us that as many people as possible are able to enjoy it," the Governor-General said.
"We are also thrilled that so many charities and community groups will be at the open day to promote the outstanding work that they do.
"The work that these groups do is diverse but one thing is consistent - they are made up of hard-working, selfless people that work each and every day to make our community and society better."
