The 22-year-old can come back from an eight-game suspension when the Canberra Raiders clash with the Manly Sea Eagles at Campbelltown Stadium on Sunday.
Corey Horsburgh could also rejoin the Green Machine after illness ruled him out of a clash with the Wests Tigers this past weekend, paving the way for Ryan Sutton to make an impressive return.
Stuart is considering a rotation policy as Canberra continue to adjust to life on the road should the Raiders come through relatively unscathed on the injury front.
Young hasn't played since round 25 last season, a clash which also marked Sutton's most recent appearance in the top grade until his solid showing against Wests.

Now the pair of housemates could be jostling for a place in the top grade in the coming weeks after Sutton played a starring role for Canberra in his NRL return.
"I live with [Young] so he's been in my ear the whole time. He's been a bit unlucky but it's going to be good to have the little man back," Sutton said.
"He is going to be pushing for a spot definitely, and that's a good thing, we've got that depth. It's a shame he obviously got suspended but he's back now and he will be looking to make up for it.
"That's the good thing about our team, we've got great competition. It was unfortunate what happened to Red [Horsburgh], he fell ill, but he will probably be back in next week.
"It's one of those things, we're always pushing each other at training. The intensity at training really improves and it shows on the field.
"There's no reserves, no NSW Cup, we've got to make sure we're taking every minute as it comes. The boys who don't play, they've just got to work their arses off.
"We need to make sure everyone is ready to go at any given time. I've been working hard in the time I have had off and came back in a pretty good position."
Sutton ran for 122 metres and made 20 tackles in a 38-minute stint to give Stuart plenty to think about as he pieces together his squad to face Manly.
The Englishman's outing left plenty adamant he belongs in the club's best 17 but Sutton is refusing to rest on his laurels.
"I understand competition is good within this team. I'm not taking any game for granted, I want to just keep getting better and better," Sutton said.
"It's a matter of just keeping it simple, not overcomplicating things. I've done it in the past when I have thought about it too much and been out of the game for quite a while.
"The little things can start to get on top of you. It's just a matter of keeping it simple and making sure my carries are good. There are definitely things I can improve on."
