That's why Canberra Raiders prop Ryan Sutton doesn't care whether he starts against the Canterbury Bulldogs at Canberra Stadium on Sunday or comes off the bench.
Sutton produced his best effort in lime green in the win over the Gold Coast since joining the NRL club from Wigan ahead of the 2019 season.
He ran for 195 metres and made two tackle busts after being a late inclusion in the starting line up.
Sutton, Corey Harawira-Naera and Joe Tapine all started in place of Josh Papalii, Dunamis Lui and Hudson Young.
That's a group of starting middles currently without Emre Guler (ankle), Sia Soliola (face) and Corey Horsburgh (foot).
"We've got that versatility. We've said it before, whoever starts are more than capable of starting. That's the good thing that's in our side," Sutton said.
"We've got players that are not playing at the minute, like Kai [O'Donnell] and a few others - obviously we've got the injured boys. Whoever is in that starting 13 can do a job.
"I'll just do whatever [Raiders coach Ricky Stuart] wants me to do at the end of the day.
"If it's coming off the bench or starting I'm really not too fussed. Whatever 'Stick' thinks is best for the side that's what he'll do.
"Whoever you put there in the starting side can do a job."
MORE RAIDERS NEWS
Sutton found out early last week he was starting against the Titans.
But he did more than start, he made a Josh Papalii-esque start - spending the entire first half on the field before finally getting a rest in the 52nd minute.
The 25-year-old revealed the nice balmy Gold Coast weather had actually helped him rather than drain him like you might think it would coming from the Canberra cold.
"When you get told you're starting you've got to make that impact from the off," Sutton said.
"Sticky came to me and said, 'Can you get through the first 40? Are you OK doing that?' I'm never going to say no.
"I just wanted to do my best for the side and try and get through. I felt alright to be honest.
"It's been a bit different to playing in the cold back in Canberra, getting a bit of heat up here is good."
The Raiders are doing enough to win, having tasted victory in five of their past six games, despite a massive injury and travel toll.
But they think they could be playing better and Sutton said they needed to build over the final six rounds leading into the finals.
They're on the verge of sealing their spot in the 2020 play-offs, which would be the first time they've played finals in consecutive years since 2004.
The Raiders have won five of their past six games against the Bulldogs, who are the worst attacking team in the NRL - up against the fifth-best defence.
"We've got to make sure we're using these games in the lead-up to the finals to be our best and put us in a great position to hopefully do something special this year," Sutton said.
"We're not playing as good as we probably could, but we're getting the results at the end of the day and that's what matters.
"We have to keep progressing and making sure we're using every game as a building step to the finals.
"We've got a really good result against a tough side [in the Titans], but there's definitely things we can work on going forward. We've got to be better in certain areas."
