The Bonython man, 29, is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday on several charges including aggravated burglary, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, destroy property and possess offensive weapon with intent.
Police allege he went to a Wanniassa car park on Saturday afternoon armed with a home-made knife and golf club and started throwing golf balls at nearby properties.
He then allegedly threatened several residents of a nearby unit complex and assaulted one person before he broke into one unit and attempted to enter a second unit.
Police say when they arrived at the scene they found the man in a third unit where he was arrested.
He was refused bail and police will oppose bail when he faces court.
