Krauss' time at the club stretches back 26 years - he joined back when it was ANU Rugby Club and during that time he's played in every position, and across every grade.
"It's a pleasure to have gotten here and it is just an amazing testament to the club itself, it just makes you feel at home every year you go through," Krauss said.
"It is a moment of pride, but I guess it's a refection of the little moments over the last 26 years that I have been able to enjoy.
"I do love the sport, but really it's the culture here."
Having spent the majority of his career in second and third grade, Krauss played a handful of top-grade games. His debut coming back in 1996 on the wing under current Brumbies assistant Laurie Fisher.
"I remember there was an injury and Laurie Fisher dragged me up and I didn't cover myself in glory," Krauss said.
"But it was an eye opener, stepping into a grade that was beyond where I had played before and certainly that level at the time, taught me a few hard lessons."
Injuries over the years forced Krauss to reinvent himself from a utility back, to a backrower and now a hooker, his preferred position.
"Starting out in the outside backs... in the early days that was great, and we had some guys inside us that were excellent," Krauss said.

"As I got older as injuries slowed me down a bit, I blew a knee, then a shoulder and then the other knee in reasonably quick succession.
"When I sort of got over those hurdles, coming back into the game and taking on roles in the back row, offered a different perspective.
"I then moved into the hooker position about 15 or 16 years ago. That for me I think has been my spiritual home."
