Promoter Jake Ellis is pushing for new judging panel for Schleibs' looming IBF intercontinental featherweight bout with Sydneysider Jarvis at Canberra's Exhibition Park on December 11.
Three Sydney-based judges have been appointed alongside a Sydney-based referee, with Ellis labelling the decision "lopsided" in Jarvis' favour against Melbourne's Schleibs.
Ellis, son of boxing great Lester, is calling for a neutral judge and a Melbourne-based official to join their Sydney counterpart amid fear Schleibs could be "taken advantage of".
But Fenech has fired back, adamant Jarvis is going to make a statement by finishing the fight before it goes to the scorecards.
MORE BOXING
"I can't understand it. It's so shit. In the worst times, they've got a fight and so do we. We appreciate it, they don't," Fenech said.
"They've got more money than they've ever got, and they're complaining. We're not even going to need a referee or a judge, mate.
"Jeff Fenech is the last person who needs a favour from a referee or a judge, he's been robbed from referees and judging, he would never want nobody [to go through that]. If my fighter is not good enough to win the fight, we don't win the fight.
"They're trying to make out it's Ellis versus Fenech, it's got nothing to do with Ellis versus Fenech.
"It's all to do with Brock Jarvis versus Mark whatever his name is. It's all just bullshit. Let's get this fight, and shut their mouth.
"To be honest they give me the shits. I'd never heard of this kid until COVID [hit]. I'd never heard of Mark Schleibs.
"Good luck to him, he's got a decent record but I don't give a rats arse about him. It's all shit. Let's let these two guys fight, the best fighter is going to win."
Ellis says Schleibs' camp would never have taken the fight if they didn't think he could beat one of Australia's most promising prospects.
"My argument is if it's in Canberra, why are there three Sydney judges and a Sydney referee? That sounds a little bit lopsided," Ellis said.
"Naturally, my argument is to have a neutral judge, a judge from Melbourne and a judge from Sydney. That sounds fair to me. That's the IBF rule, I'm just reiterating it.
"That's the beauty of boxing, over 30 minutes it's winner takes all. All his stock from being with Jeff Fenech, it's all up for grabs. So is the intercontinental title which carries a top 15 ranking. Massive, massive stakes."
Capital Fight Show promoter Nick Boutzos is delivering the event with D&L Events chief Dean Lonergan and has backed the integrity of the officials.
"The judges who have been picked are three of the most credible judges with the highest amount of experience around the eastern seaboard of Australia," Boutzos said.
"Both fighters have told they're going to knock the other one out, so these judges aren't even going to be called on if one of them is correct."
Fenech has little doubt as to which fighter will be.
"If Mark Schleibs was my son, I wouldn't be letting him fight Brock Jarvis, I guarantee you that," Fenech said.
