Police are reminding Canberrans to not exceed the two per person limit of cannabis plants after cautioning the man who owned four plants.
The 42-year-old Belconnen man was cautioned on Monday after ACT Policing discovered four cannabis plants on his apartment's balcony.
The plants weighed more than 90 kilograms. They were seized and destroyed.
While the man lived with a housemate, he was the only resident who owned the cannabis plants.
Under Section 618(2)(a) of the Criminal Code 2002 (ACT), it is an offence for one individual to cultivate three or more plants.
If there are three or more cannabis plants at a household in the ACT, two or more residents must own the plants.
