Since producing the jersey the Gungahlin Bulls will wear against the Queanbeyan Blues on Saturday, Allan has already been hired by multiple organisations to create designs to honour the culture and heritage of the Ngunnawal people.
"It has pretty special because it came out of nowhere - one day I'm doing dot paintings, the next I'm creating designs for different teams and schools," Allan said.
"Honestly, I am speechless when I think about it. I can't say too much about it because it brings a tear to my eye when I talk about it."
Allan took inspiration from his own life to design the The Bulls jersey. The back of the jersey will also feature are a few traditional Ngunnawal words, to honour the language.
"The bottom half of the jersey is a timeline, the circles represent different points or communities in life," Allan said.
"The timeline leads up to an eagle which is Mullyan, the Ngunnawal totem animal."
"Behind Mullyan is a sunset which is symbolizing tomorrow, the design symbolises that Mullyan is taking you into tomorrow to your next journey."
The Allan family will play a major role in the lead up to Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with the Blues.
"There's going to be a smoking ceremony done by my dad and there will be a welcome to country done by my nan as well," Allan said.
"I get to lead the first team out with everyone wearing the jersey I created, with my kids by my side in their own little jersey.
"It's going to be very special and I'm probably going to tear up a bit."
MORE RUGBY LEAGUE
Coach Neil Bijorac was pleased to see how the players had contributed to celebrating the the day, and how the planning has been truly player driven.
"The club recognised that it's only going to be a success if its player driven," Bijorac said.
"The club wanted the players to have a large input on what was important to happen on the day and also the design of the jersey.
"The event needed to do more then make it a word or a day."
Allan said the timing of Indigenous round couldn't be more perfect with the Blues and Bulls colliding as the league's only two unbeaten teams.
"Similar to the jersey, it is that timeline leading up to everything and obviously it's meant to be," Allan said.
"All of the dots have connected to get here. I think the game is meant to happen."
