The student counsellor at the Canberra Technical College, Mr D. Judge said the results of a basic mathematics and reading test given to new students at the college indicated that IQs were between 110 and 119.
While the testing revealed an average reading age of only 12.3 years. Mr Judge said the mathematics results also had been poor.
