Anyone in the ACT who recently visited any of eight newly listed local government areas in NSW will be required to quarantine at home for 14 days, following the emergence of coronavirus in the state's west.

Anyone in the affected region, which includes Walgett, Bogan and Bourke, is instructed to call ACT Health, complete an online exemption form and enter quarantine immediately.
Residents of the eight council areas went into a one-week snap lockdown from Wednesday night after a man diagnosed with Covid travelled through the region this week.
The man was released from Bathurst jail on Monday and travelled 500 kilometres west to Walgett, via Dubbo.
ACT Health has since declared the local government areas hotspots and anyone who left them on or after August 5 will be required to quarantine for two weeks after leaving or until otherwise advised by ACT Health.
Quarantine rules apply to visitors from these areas:
- Bogan Shire Council
- Bourke Shire Council
- Brewarrina Shire Council
- Coonamble Shire Council
- Gilgandra Shire Council
- Narromine Shire Council
- Walgett Shire Council
- Warren Shire Council
ACT residents will automatically receive an exemption to enter the ACT and will be supported to safely return to their homes, a spokesman said.
"Non-ACT residents will be unable to enter the ACT without an approved exemption.
"Exemptions will only be approved in highly exceptional circumstances.
"Even if an exemption is approved, people receiving an exemption will be required to quarantine.

"If people do not have suitable premises to quarantine in they will be required to quarantine in an approved hotel at their own expense.
"The situation in regional NSW is serious and restrictions could be implemented for other regions at short notice."
