The UC Capitals will be back on the basketball court this weekend, as all players and staff returned second negative COVID-19 tests following an exposure within the club.

The UC Capitals homecoming - some 650-odd days since their last game in the capital - was originally scheduled for December 12, but was cancelled when a member of the club tested positive to the virus.
All players, coaches and staff went into a seven-day quarantine period, which will end at 11.59pm on Tuesday, December 14.

The UC Capitals will face off against the Adelaide Lightning at the National Convention Centre this Sunday.
UC Capitals coach Paul Goriss said the team was in "good spirits."
"It's been a challenging week, but this is the world we live in currently," he said.
"We felt like we started the season on a good note, grinding out a win against the Flames and were looking forward to riding some momentum into the next round.
"The team is in good spirits; assistant coach Kennedy Kareama was able to run some individual dribbling sessions and our S&C coach Luke Neville ran some sessions over zoom."
IN OTHER SPORT:
He said the team has maintained some fitness despite the week-long quarantine. They will resume training on Wednesday.
"We haven't had the basketball preparation we would have liked but the team has been able to maintain a level of fitness which will allow us to hit the ground running this week," he said.
"We've got four days to prep for a good Adelaide Lightning team. It's not an ideal prep but we'll adapt, and we're excited to finally bring basketball back to the NCCC."
