Casey Donovan, Marina Prior, Bobby Fox and Rob Mills delighted the crowd of thousands at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday evening.
They were joined on stage by stars of musical theatre from Hamilton, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and Romeo and Juliet.
For the first time, the event welcomed 24 singers from the Central Australian Aboriginal Women's Choir to perform a carol in traditional Western Arrernte and Pitjantjatjara languages.
Free glowsticks were provided for everyone who attended.
The 85th Carols by Candlelight raised money for Vision Australia's children's services, for kids who are blind or with low vision.
The event has been held on Christmas Eve since 1938.
