While she now lives in Brisbane with her family, she is "proudly born and raised in Canberra'', the oldest of four children. The 28-year-old mum-of-two is also a University of Canberra alumnus.

After leaving school, she worked in hospitality before welcoming her daughter Sienna, now nine.

The young family was on the move early with partner Anthony working as a pilot.

After a two-year stint in Melbourne, they returned to Canberra where Chloe completed her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Canberra.

The course cemented her love and passion for food. Soon after the young family was on the move again, heading north to the warmer Queensland climate following the birth of their son Laurence.

A lover of Asian-style cooking, Chloe says her strengths lie in Korean, Japanese and south-east Asian fare, but admits desserts are a weakness, although she does not mind "a nibble of good quality, dark chocolate''.

"Obsessed with food'', Chloe says her philosophy about produce is one she imparts to both her children and clients – that eating is about moderation and knowing what you are eating is critical.

Chloe says her greatest strength in the MasterChef Australia kitchen is her ability to make core ingredients from scratch. Quick to whip up pasta, noodles, sauces and condiments, she also enjoys making her own sausages, pastries, custards and cheeses.

A fan of cooking shows, Chloe says she is particularly fond of Gary Mehigan, ramen chef Ivan Orkin, Donna Hay and Ben Shewry.

At the end of her MasterChef Australia journey, Chloe hopes to open a cooking school, focussing on family nutrition and encouraging children to get more involved in food preparation. She also wants to work with local and state governments to create healthy food initiative programs in schools, building and growing their own community gardens.

Away from the kitchen Chloe enjoys the great outdoors, hiking and visiting farmers’ markets.

The return of MasterChef Australia also won Canberra viewers over with the WIN Network program being
the highest-rating program from 6pm – midnight in the nation’s capital in the launch episode on Monday.

The launch of MasterChef Australia drew an audience average in Canberra of 28,819, ahead of The Voice on 25,629.
