The police were alerted to the crop after the owner of the home went to inspect his rental property and saw a number of items indicating the possibility of a grow house inside the home.
The owner called police, who then conducted an external property search and set up a crime scene about 5.10pm.
Police executed a search warrant on the property about 9.10pm, and found 23 cannabis plants and a hydroponic set-up within two rooms.
Police seized the plants and the hydroponic equipment, including transformers, leads, an irrigation system and lighting.
ACT Police said an offender had been identified and inquiries were continuing.
