Police have slammed the actions of a motorcyclist who was caught exceeding the speed limit by more than 100 kilometres per hour on a bike with a defective rear tyre.

ACT Policing said the rider was detected travelling at 183km/h in an 80km/h zone on Yamba Drive, in Isaacs, on Saturday.
The motorbike had earlier been observed changing lanes at excessive speeds on several occasions.
Acting Station Sergeant David Wills, the ACT's officer in charge of traffic operations, described the motorcyclist's behaviour as galling.
“While police are urging all motorists to be aware of vulnerable road users this month, all road users still need to use common sense and obey the rules when driving or riding,” he said.
“Motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable, so for this rider to exceed the speed limit by more than 100 kilometres an hour is galling.
"By doing so, they are making themselves even more vulnerable.
“This rider is showing little to no regard for their own safety, and is gambling with the lives of other road users at the same time.”
Police issued the rider with a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 kilometres per hour, overtaking too closely to other vehicles, and for having non-standard (defective) tyres.
The rider also received a defect notice.
