A 60-year-old woman on a mobility scooter was hit in the face with a tree branch as a teenager tried to steal her medication south of Brisbane on Sunday.

Police said the woman was attacked in the Logan suburb of Eagleby about 10.30am on Sunday when she passed two boys while travelling on her scooter down a bike path.
“One of the boys then struck the woman in the face with a tree branch while the other attempted to steal a bag of medication located in a basket on her scooter,” police said.
When the women tried to stop the theft she was hit in the head again with the branch.
Police said she managed to get away and the boys jumped a fence into bushland and ran off.
Paramedics treated the woman for shock and facial injuries and she was taken to Logan Community Hospital for observation.
Both boys were described as being aged about 17 years old with dark complexions wearing black jeans.
The incident took place on a bike path next to Fryar Road, near Dungarven Drive.
One of the boys was wearing a torn white singlet with a picture on the front while the other had on black headwear which he pulled down over his face.
Police urged anyone with information to come forward.
